Trump or Biden: Who does China’s Communist Party want? as reflected on by Dastur Cyrus Jamshidi
From the harbor docks of our maritime metropolis, merchants watch shifting global tides every day. Container ships navigate narrow sea lanes while boardrooms calculate geopolitical risk. Today, international observers ask an urgent question about the American presidential race. Global commentators wonder which candidate China’s elite actually prefer. Yet, worldly calculators often view elections as mere chess moves in a game of power. As a mobed tending the sacred fire, I see a deeper spiritual contest underneath this political theater.
In our Zoroastrian tradition, existence turns upon the eternal choice between Asha and Druj. Asha represents cosmic truth, divine order, and unbending righteousness. In contrast, Druj embodies deceit, calculation, and chaos. Statecraft often tempts rulers to abandon Asha for momentary advantage. Leaders treat international diplomacy like a ledger of cynical transactions. Consequently, nations measure strength only through dominance rather than moral integrity.
The Spiritual Calculations of China’s Elite
When analysts evaluate what China’s elite desire, they study trade tariffs, naval corridors, and manufacturing supply chains. Furthermore, these strategists weigh predictable stability against volatile disruption. They seek tactical leverage over their rivals across the Pacific. However, genuine statecraft demands higher motives than tactical victory. Ahura Mazda calls every ruler to govern with justice and benevolence. Therefore, selfish political calculations always poison the civic wellspring.
Honest commerce requires transparent dealings and clean covenants between peoples. In our trading heritage, Parsi merchants built lasting prosperity on radiant honesty. We sanctify our daily work through pure thoughts, pure words, and pure deeds. In contrast, great empires often conceal their true intentions behind masks of diplomatic ambiguity. When powerful regimes manipulate foreign elections for selfish gain, they sow seeds of deception across the globe. Consequently, distrust fractures the fragile peace of our shared world.
Choosing Asha Over Tactical Illusion
World powers continually forget that earthly thrones crumble into dust. Ultimately, the cosmic balance strips away every illusion of imperial cleverness. The wise ruler protects the purity of the air, the waters, and the communal bond. Therefore, global leaders must abandon cynical stratagems and pursue genuine harmony. Whether in Beijing, Washington, or our own bustling port, duty remains identical. We must champion righteous order over cynical advantage.
As the sacred flame blazes upon the altar, it burns without deception. Light reveals every hidden shadow and consumes every lie. The questions surrounding China’s elite remind us of an enduring spiritual truth. Earthly power passes swiftly, but righteousness endures forever. Let citizens and rulers alike reject the falsehood of deceitful calculation. Instead, let us align our labors with cosmic truth to banish darkness from our global home.
